Sam Ahn, MD

Sam Ahn, MD

Sam Ahn, MD joined North Bay Allergy & Asthma Associates in August 2017. Dr. Ahn has trained at some of the most elite institutions in the United States. He graduated from John Hopkins University with a degree in Biology. He then received his MD from Harvard Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Yale in Connecticut. He completed his Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. During his fellowship, he authored several abstracts and scientific papers relating to both food allergies as well as Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID).

Prior to joining North Bay Allergy and Asthma Associates, Dr. Ahn practiced in Phoenix, Arizona for 7 years. While there, he was the Vice President of the Arizona Allergy & Asthma Society. He received numerous accolades, including “America’s Top Physician” several years. Other awards include Patient’s Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Award and Castle Connolly’s Top Doctor Award. Most recently, he received the SF Magazine top doctor and Sonoma Magazine top doctor awards. Dr. Ahn has a special interest in volunteering his medical services throughout his career and has volunteered in medical clinics in various countries in Africa, as well as refugee clinics and free clinics here in the US.

Outside of medicine, his other interests include music, art, traveling, all things food and his two dogs.

Amber Keenan, NP

Amber Keenan, NP

Amber Keenan is a board-certified family nurse practitioner that has been with North Bay Allergy and Asthma Associates since 2020.  Amber graduated with honors from Simpson University and worked in the nursing profession for over 10 years before deciding to advance her career. Her nursing experience includes emergency room, obstetrics, and post-surgical care.

She received her Masters in Nursing from Sonoma State University in 2017.  Clinically, she managed patients in the hospital and outpatient setting, including those in the intensive care unit. Since then, she has been thriving at North Bay Allergy.  She goes above and beyond and is adored and well-respected by both her patients and staff.

Amber has 2 young sons and a boxer. Her husband was born and raised in Napa and works as a firefighter for the city of Napa.  Outside of work, she loves to cook, camp, hike, and travel.

Kathleen Tajiri, MD

Kathleen Tajiri, MD

Kathleen Tajiri MD is board certified in pediatrics and both adult and pediatric allergy/immunology. She received her undergraduate degree from California Lutheran University with a major in Biology and Religion.  She graduated from University of Southern California School of Medicine and went on to complete her pediatric residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB. She then completed two tours in Japan with USAF as a general pediatrician. Afterwards, she completed her Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She has had teaching appointments with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD and with the UC Davis School of Medicine. After almost 24 years in the USAF, she retired as Lieutenant Colonel from Travis AFB, CA. Since then she has worked for allergy practices in Napa, Monterey, and Salinas, California.

She has one daughter, and enjoys traveling, reading, owning dachshunds.
